Law Library of Congress Writer in Residence Fellowship

65,000.00

To highlight connections between legal materials, history, and the literary arts, the Law Library seeks to support a writer, playwright, or journalist as a fellow. The writer in residence would conduct research in the Law Library's collection, write an original work based on or inspired by materials in the collection and publish their work (story, essay, play, poems, video, or podcast) on a platform accessible digitally to a broad audience. Funding would cover living expenses and a stipend for a 3-6 month fellowship.
