Why Our Support Matters

The U.S. Law Library of Congress makes its resources available to members of Congress, the Supreme Court, other brances of the U.S. government, the public, and the global legal community, and it sustains and preserves a universal collection of law for future generations.   It was established by an act of Congress in 1832.  With more than 2.6 million volumes, the Law Library is the largest in the world.
